crazeecookie's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~*Temple!*~ Yesterday I went to Temple University with my neighbor and her son (she grew up in South Philly). She, along with about a million other people, were telling me that Temple is right next to the ghetto. Somehow, even when she took me through the so-called “ghetto” I did not feel uncomfortable or scared or nervous or anything. People be hyping it like it’s something big and bad. I mean, yeah it’s bad, but I’ve seen a lot worse. We walked around inside Temple and I loved it! The atmosphere, the city, the classrooms, the drama department, everything was wonderful! That definitely put Temple back as #1 on my college list for this week. It also helps that I saw a lot of buns up there! Don’t get it twisted; Philly does have its share of bammas too. I think I like Philly a lot because it is definitely like a little New York. I love the hustle and bustle of the city and at times New York makes me feel tired. But I loved Philly and I definitely felt right at home. I really loved it. The shopping on South Street is official! I got some white and gray Timbs (which I said I would never do) for $50, no tax. Yall know I was pressed-like! The next step in my ever-lasting college search is to go to Howard. I’ll probably be on that campus a lot longer than I was on Temple’s though. I really want to go see what Howard is like though.
